3 Classes, Mondays  Jan 22 and 29, Feb 5 from 6 pm to 8 pm

Explore two-color stranded knitting while knitting these beautiful mittens.  IN this class, you'll learn a fun braided cuff technique, how to manage two colors with one color in each hand, how to read a colorwork chart, how to do a traditional scandanavian thuimb gusset, and optionally, how to also knit a liner.

Necessary skills:  Working in the round on double pointed needles, knitting, purling, and committing to knitting every night to keep up with the class and finish the mittens during the three week session.

Materials: In-store Ravelry purchase of "Northman Mittens" pattern by David Schulz, one skein each of two colors of Berroco Ultra Alpaca or other worsted weight yarn, US size 3, 4 or 5 Double pointed needles (needle size determines mitten size), optional:  marking tape, stitch holders and stitch markers, darning needle, sport weight yarn and needles to knit the lining.
