Many modern scarf and shawl patterns use short rows to shape and define the garment. What can seem mystifying the first time you encounter it will become a part of your skill set with this two-session class. Shelly will guide you through this Ravelry favorite and you'll have a great garter stitch scarf to rock you through the winter.
Necessary skills: Casting on, knitting, purling, reading a basic pattern.
Cost: $35.00. Please note: You will pay the instructor on the first day of class. Please be prepared to pay in cash or with a check. Most instructors are not equipped to handle credit card transactions.
Materials: In-Store purchase of the pattern "Leftie" by Martina Behm from Ravely. A total of 600-650 yards of fingering or sport weight yarn in at least 3 colors, stitch markers, US size 2 or 3 needles, or needles appropriate for your yarn and normal knitting tools.
