Snowfall Beaded Hat with Joan
3 Classes: Tuesdays February 18, 25 and March 3 6-8 pm
$45.00 plus materials
Beads as colorwork! That is what is unique about this hat. Instead of using beads to add bling to a lace pattern, the beads are meant to replicate the beautiful gradient yarns that we all love. Larger beads are used for this reason. Using beads for the colorwork actually frees you from the confines of other types of color knitting. Unlike stranded knitting, you can use more than one color in a row. And it isn’t intarsia!
Materials: 150-180 yards of sport weight yarn, #6 beads, US size 2 and 3 16¨circular needle, and size 3 DPNs, 1.25mm crochet hook, In-store download of Snowfall Hat by Susan Rainey, and normal knitting notions.
Required skills: Casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch, binding off, and reading basic pattern instructions.
Please note: We require you to use yarn purchased from us for all classes. You will receive a 10% discount on all class supplies while class is running. You will pay the instructor directly on the first day of class., Please be prepared to pay with either cash or a check since our instructors mostly do not have the ability to take credit cards. Thank you for understanding and not asking us to make an exception for you.
