Cost: $55.00 plus materials
This assymetric scarf project will introduce participants to lace knitting. The completed scarf can be worn in a variety of ways. While the lace looks complicated, it requires only a few stitches that are repeated across rows. You will learn how to follow a chart, basic lace increases and decreases, how to use a life line, and during the last class, the instructor will demonstrate how to block your finished piece.
Required skills to take the class: Cast on, knit, purl, bind off
Materials: 100 gram skein of fingering weight yarn. Avoid very dark colors, which make it difficult to see your stitches (and mistakes), In-store download of “Dodo” pattern from Ravelry, 24 or 32 inch US size 6 circular needles, Stitch markers (The instructor recommends the Coco knits removable stitch markers), tapestry needle, marking tape and normal knitting notions.
Please note: We require that yarns used in our classes are purchased from us. Students receive a 10% discount on class supplies while the class is running.
